Gay Men's Underwear

Frequently Asked Questions

What is gay men's underwear?

There is no underwear only gay men can wear, and anyone can wear any style. "Gay men's underwear" is the name people use for the styles that have long been popular in the gay community: jockstraps, thongs, sheer and mesh briefs and brief-cut swimwear, often from brands such as PUMP! that design with gay men in mind.

Are jockstraps gay?

No. The jockstrap began as athletic support and is still worn for sport and training. It has also become a staple of gay fashion and nightlife, which is why many people link the two, but a jockstrap is simply underwear and who wears it is up to you.

Which brands are in this collection?

PUMP!, Modus Vivendi, TEAMM8, our own-label STRIKE PRO and SALIGIA. BANG & STRIKE is an authorised retailer of PUMP!, Modus Vivendi and TEAMM8, and the exclusive UK stockist of SALIGIA.

What should I wear to Pride or on a gay beach holiday?

Swim briefs for the beach and pool parties, and a mesh brief or a bold jockstrap under shorts for the parade. For colour, PUMP!'s Bon Voyage Pride collection was made for it. Modus Vivendi, PUMP! and TEAMM8 all make brief-cut swimwear.

What sizes do these styles come in?

Most styles run from S to XL. Fit differs by brand, so check the size chart on each product page or our Men's Underwear Sizing Guide before you order.

Is the packaging discreet?

Yes. Every order is sent in discreet packaging, with free standard EU delivery on orders from €150.
