What are modal boxers?

Modal boxers are longer-leg men's underwear made from modal, a cellulosic fibre spun from beech tree pulp. Are modal boxers better than cotton boxers?

For softness, breathability and shape retention, modal wins. It is finer, smoother and more absorbent than cotton, and it resists the bagging and colour fade that cotton develops with washing. Cotton remains cheaper, and some people prefer a fully natural fibre. Modal is the upgrade choice rather than the budget one.
