BANG&STRIKE is an independent UK retailer specialising in premium men's underwear, designer briefs, boxers, jockstraps and thongs. Founded in 2006, we were one of the first online stores in the UK dedicated exclusively to fashion-forward men's underwear — long before most major retailers had established an online presence.

For 20 years, we've curated bold, high-quality collections of microfibre underwear, cotton underwear and exclusive international brands for customers across the UK and worldwide.

Where It Began

BANG&STRIKE originally launched as Banglads.com in 2006, created to bring exciting, body-conscious underwear brands to the UK market at a time when choice was limited and mainstream retailers offered little beyond basics.

Founder Mat had previously worked as a womenswear designer in New York and Milan. Returning to the UK with plans to develop his own fashion line, he discovered emerging men's underwear brands such as N2N — and recognised a clear opportunity to introduce contemporary designer men's underwear to a growing UK audience.

The first order?
£200 worth of underwear sold from a bedroom via eBay.
It sold out within a week and a second order of £400 was placed.

From those early beginnings, BANG&STRIKE grew into a dedicated warehouse operation with a tight-knit team, reaching annual turnover approaching £1.5 million at its peak.

First to Introduce Leading Designer Brands to the UK

BANG&STRIKE was among the first UK retailers to stock brands that would go on to become globally recognised in men's underwear, including:

At a time when few UK stores specialised in designer men's briefs, jockstraps and statement underwear, BANG&STRIKE helped shape the category.

From Banglads to BANG&STRIKE

In 2010, the brand evolved into BANG&STRIKE, reflecting a broader, more inclusive vision and a sporty, fresh aesthetic direction.

Then in 2019, we entered another defining chapter. After years of retailing leading international brands, we chose to focus more intentionally on developing our own-label collections and refining a stronger, more cohesive brand identity.

It was a deliberate move toward greater creative control — aligning product design, photography and brand direction more closely with our long-term vision.

The transition allowed us to collaborate with new models, photographers and creative partners who reflected the elevated aesthetic of Bang & Strike today.

That period wasn't about stepping back — it was about sharpening who we are.
