MENS SWIMWEAR – WINTER HOLIDAY ESSENTIALS!

Jetting off somewhere nice this Winter? Mens swimwear can be hard to find as shops stock up on hats and scarves – but we’ve got you covered this season. Unless you’re going skiing. In which case we don’t recommend little trunks.

MENS SWIMWEAR – THE SWIM SHORTS

Standard holiday fare, swim shorts are just above flip-flops on your must-buy list. They’re comfy, they’re multifunctional, and given that they’re the only thing you’ll be wearing much of the time – they’ve gotta look good. Even for the more reserved guy who’d normally not be seen out of a jeans/tshirt combo – you can afford to splash some colour on your swim shorts. You’ve got to get in the holiday vibe right? Besides, if you’re escaping the miserable UK weather for a week or two you might as well go all out…

Go bright – nothing looks better in the sun than the brightest colours you can lay your hands on. Try these block colour Andrew Christian swim shorts  for a punchy and unmissable look – or Oiler & Boiler have gone stripey and bright too with the “Hermosa” swim shorts.

Bright yellow is most at home on the beach – it’s fun, sunny, and puts you in the holiday mood. The Oiler & Boiler East Hampton Swim short should do the trick. Alternatively, go floral with Oiler & Boiler Tuckernuck swimshorts – just as Summery but with a bit of flair.

If you are looking for a more suave and sophisticated look you might pop for these spotted navy Tuckernuck shorts from Oiler & Boiler, or the Venetian gondolier inspired striped swim short from ES Collection.

MENS SWIMWEAR – THE TRUNKS

For the more confident – don’t hide under the biggest, baggiest, boringest board shorts you can find… No-one’s gonna believe you’ve ever even stood on a board! Americans call the speedo ‘European’ and, you know what, European is cool. The trunk oozes confidence but doesn’t have to look smarmy. It has sport appeal, and says that its wearer is a body-confident, modern guy. Wear it with pride.

If you want to go for a fairly cheeky looking trunk, the Supawear ‘Just Supa’ trunk is what we imagine Batman would wear on the beach.. Meanwhile, N2N have gone for a sporty look – the sky blue Catalina swim trunk is fresh and simple, whilst the c7 University trunk has a varsity sports appeal with vintage colours.

For sheer style and sex appeal though, Rufskin have some of the strongest swimwear designs out – we love the strong, eye-catching ocean tones of the Mar Sunga trunk, or dare to stand out with the Hutton Las Vegas swim trunk that shines even before it’s wet.
